Voice

Private voice lessons for ages 6 to adult, from first songs to auditions and the stage, near 71st and Yale.

Your voice is the one instrument you carry everywhere, and the one you cannot replace. Voice lessons at our Tulsa studio near 71st and Yale start with how the voice actually works: breath, posture, and resonance, so students sing with more power, range, and control while keeping their voices healthy for years to come.

From there, lessons follow each singer's goals. A student might be preparing for an all-state choir audition, a musical theater role, a church solo, or simply wants to sing their favorite songs with confidence. Every private lesson is at least 45 minutes and includes ear training and sight singing, so singers can learn music on their own and hold their part in any group.

FAQ:

Q: What age is best to start voice lessons?

A: Children can begin private voice lessons around age 6, with lessons designed for young voices that focus on pitch, rhythm, breathing, and singing with ease. Younger children build these same skills in our Kindermusik and pre-instrument classes.

Q: Can voice lessons help if I think I cannot sing?

A: Yes. Singing is a learned skill, and most people who believe they cannot sing simply have not been taught how to match pitch or support their sound. Ear training and breathing exercises bring steady, noticeable progress for beginners of any age.

Q: What styles of singing do you teach?

A: Every student builds a classical foundation in breath, tone, and healthy technique, which supports any style. From there, lessons can focus on musical theater, pop, jazz, worship, or contemporary music, based on each student's goals.

Q: Do you help students prepare for choir or theater auditions?

A: Yes. Teachers help students choose audition pieces that show off their voices, prepare all-state and school choir excerpts, practice sight singing, and rehearse the performance itself, so students walk into the audition room ready.
